Positano
After a series of curves and high cliffs overlooking the sea, whose intensity amazes the visitor, Positano appears in all its splendour.
Admired from the Spiaggia Grande, it looks like a pyramid of typical whitewashed, warm pastel-coloured houses climbing up the hillside, following the natural lay of the land. It is a natural amphitheatre overlooking the blue sea of the Amalfi Coast and the Li Galli islands, last residence of the dancer Rudolf Nureyev and, even before, inhabited, according to tradition, by the mythical mermaids.
Narrow cobbled alleys scented with geraniums and charming stairways link together large squares where you may come across a painter portraying a picturesque view of this wonderful coastal town. The workshops of local pottery, leather sandals and linen or cotton clothes frame the vitality that animates the streets of famous Positano.
